ISO 639 is 'n internasionale standaard vir die kodering van natuurlike tale in twee- en drieletterkodes. ISO 639 is 'n lewende kode en kom voor in twee geure; die ISO 639-1 kodes bestaan uit tweeletterkodes en dek meeste van die groot tale. Die ISO 639-2 bestaan uitdrieletter kodes en dek 'n groter groep tale. Tale wat 'n ISO 639-1 kode het, het ook 'n ISO 639-2 kode.
ISO 639 is vir Wikimedia belangrik. Dit is tewens die kodes wat die Wikipedia's vir interwikiskakels gebruik. Hier volg die lys van tale met ISO 639-1- en ISO 639-2-kodes, Engelse taalname vir alle tale en Nederlands en Afrikaanse name vir al die tale met st met ISO 639-1 kodes en so paar ander wat slegs in die ISO 639-2 lys voorkom.
