BitTorrent est un logiciel de transfert de fichiers basé sur le protocole éponyme (voir l'article BitTorrent). Il s'agit du premier client (parfois également appelé « client officiel ») pour ce protocole. Les spécifications du protocole BitTorrent étant ouvertes et publiques, de nombreux autres logiciels clients ont été développés et ont supplanté le client officiel en termes de parts de marché.
