Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha

Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha (1993) is a novel by Irish writer Roddy Doyle. It won the Booker Prize in 1993.
The story is about a young boy, aged 10, and the events that happen within that age group, but also having to cope with his parents' downhill relationship.
The novel is famous for its interesting use of language - Doyle uses syntax and vocabulary choices that gives the reader the vivid impression of listening to the memories of a ten-year-old Irish boy from the 60's; besides, the novel is not divided into chapters but in small scenes which do not follow any chronological order, just the way a real little boy would do if asked to narrate his own life to a grown-up.
