folly seems to be a type of novelty arch just as mimetic is. folly also seems to be a more common/popular term in the uk and commonwealth countries, but novelty is still an all encompassing universal english language term that is probably more suitable for a thorough article and accompanying categories. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.162.166.107 (talk • contribs) .
- Oppose - These are two different building types. The "traditional"folly is a new structure built to look like a rustic castle or ruins. This might be considered a subset of novelty architecture.
