[edit] Georgia-Russia
Hi, if Ghirlandajo continues his one-against all campaign (I've got the impression as of now), you may add a request for comment on his behaviour. Constanz - Talk 11:26, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm really tired of his way of editing: using what probably qualifies as personal assaults, removing my legitimate tags/comments etc. If not already done by tomorrow, I'll add tomorrow a request myself, hopefully you'll second to it. I'll leave now, tired of Ghirla (and his supporters, who suggest I've been insulting Ghirla!Ha-ha!).Constanz - Talk 12:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Map of GSSR
I know I once promised this to you, still no luck with any digital technology, but look what I found [2]. Should be enough. Also can you have a look at Russophobia and the Georgian section there. It is a hard article to keep neutral...--Kuban Cossack 13:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Various phobias
Hi Kober, as you are well aware yourself as a respectful citizen of Georgia and Wikipedian, certain lingering post-Soviet phobias (Caucasophobia comes to mind) have spilled onto this project. Another such shameful occurance is rearing its ugly head at Talk:Jogaila, where several Russian editors have recruited each other and formed an unholy, Polonophobic alliance to stamp out a King's name. Come take a look, and -prior to accustoming yourself with the argumentations of both sides- voice your humble opinion. Truthseeker 85.5 11:35, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Excellent
Kober, that looks pretty good. In addition, we could say something there about Shalikashvili's father, as I know he was also in Georgian forces at first. Sosomk 21:01, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

- I love that Georgian alphabet, it looks so exotic. I can't wait for Georgia to join the EU, so it will be on the front page of the website of the European Commission (www.europa.eu).--Tekleni 21:25, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jorge de Bagration
I noticed that you reverted the recent edit showing that Salome Zurabishvili called for restoration of the monarchy in Georgia under the Bagrationi dynasty. Although the editor who added it to the article appears to be unreliable on non-royalty issues, the ITAR-Tass article he cited seems authentic. Yet you consider it rumor? Have you heard additional information about this, and is there a source for it? Or do you have reason to believe that the article is inaccurate? Lethiere 18:47, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Armenia in Europe
I am a member of the AMA (Association of Members' Advocates) currently acting on behalf of User:Caligvla, who has named you as one of the participants in the dispute over whether Armenia is in Europe or Asia. Caligvla has listed a number of reference sources classifying Armenia as an Asian country. He claims that the only sources quoted by your side of the dispute are 1.) an obsecure Canadian website that places Armenia in Europe, and a BBC article that mistakenly places Armenia in Europe. Can you please respond to this and give your side of the argument (preferably on my userpage)? Under the AMA principle of audi alteram partem, you have the right to be heard. (NB Copies of this message have been placed on the talkpage of all those who Caligvla has named as participants in the dispute.) Walton monarchist89 09:26, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello
I was very impressed by this article Red Army invasion of Georgia. I usually keep up with the news from Post Soviet states and Georgia is definitely one the most unique of them and your president, Mr. Saakashvili published an article in Harvard Law Review about Georgia. I can email it to you if you are interested. Cheers! 192.240.93.66 19:08, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Vandalism???
Of course it redirects, since you redirected it. However, I think it should be restored and the whole thing moved to a more neutral title. Call it a WP:RM if you like, rather than a merge, however the whole thing is that this article cannot remain in its current state because of a POV title. -- Grafikm (AutoGRAF) 19:47, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Kober, I'm not saying you're right or wrong about the title. However, if someone suggest a merge and puts a tag on a page, one should not revert it on sight. If the discussion on the talk page shows indeed a consensus to not merge the page and instead leave it where it is, that's fine. However, simply reverting it is a bad idea... -- Grafikm (AutoGRAF) 20:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My userbox
And hello to you too, Kober.
First of all, your accusation about me having some sort of anti-Georgian agenda is ludicrous. Do you make it against all the people who don't happen to share your views, or only I get that special privilege? The same goes for your beloved president. Disagreeing with his policies is not libel. Btw, I borrowed shamelessly stole this userbox from User:Dimts, who seems to be Danish. Why don't you harass him about his anti-Georgian agenda?..
Just wondering if you bothered to read the second part of the quote you gave me?
"using userpages to attack people or campaign for or against anything or anyone is a bad idea". Since you seem to be such an ardent supporter of this rule, why does your userpage feature these:
This user supports Georgia's bid to join the European Union. |
This user opposes aggressive separatism in Abkhazia and South Ossetia and supports the unity of the Georgian state. |

- "Why don't you harass him about his anti-Georgian agenda?.."
Oh, wait, you did already... Never mind... Óðinn 09:41, 12 November 2006 (UTC)- For you information, I also support independence of Transnistria and Nagorno-Karabkh as well. Regarding the userboxes: when you say that you oppose "aggressive separatism in Abkhazia and South Ossetia", do you not imply their leaders, primarily Kokoity and Bagapsh? And if so, what difference is there from my userbox? I could easily change mine to something like "This user opposes 'Georgia's aggressive attempts to subjugate Abkhazia and South Ossetia", so it's totally analogous to yours. However, I think that would be offensive. I don't attribute the properties of one politician to the whole country. And despite of what you might think of me, I don't consider all the Georgians to be a bunch of aggressive warmongers. Óðinn 10:23, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- As a matter of fact, I support the right for self-determination for every nation. And the Chechens had their referendum fairly recently in which they voted overwhelmingly in support of staying within the federation. I edit these particular articles because there was an unbalanced abundance of pro-Saakashvili contributors. Speaking of civility. It might behoove you to reconsider your knee-jerk reflex of accusing everyone critical of your government's policy of having the anti-Georgian agenda. If you don't like my userpage - make a formal complaint. Ta. Óðinn 11:06, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi Kober. I don't know a whole lot about what's appropriate for userboxes or not, so I suggest that you post something at WP:AN/I where you will most likely get a reply. I understand what you're saying however. Cheers, Khoikhoi 03:48, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Nice work on the Red Army invasion of Georgia article by the way. I still don't get how your English can be better than mine. ;-) Cheers, Khoikhoi 05:27, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Kober, I share your position about the inlammatory content in the user space. You find the boxes that call for Georgia's partitioning offensive and inflammatory. You are correct, IMO. Would you please consider taking it also to this page whose owner has userboxes calling for partitioning of Russia, China and change of the political regime in Belarus? You might also be interested to read this thread. --Irpen 05:51, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Kober! Ahhh what a shame people like him live here near by here in Toronto. :) Leave him alone, it’s a best solution. Anti-Georgian hysterics are well known among the members of his community :) That other gentleman is as much Danish as I am heheh. What’s up my old friend? As Khoi mentioned I also don't understand how you write better English than me :) talented person, what can i say :) Keep up with the good work! Cheers. Best. Ldingley 22:21, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Here, thats what he wants and thats what he will get :)
This user opposes Vladimir Putin's bloody occupation of Chechnya and aggressive attempts to subjugate democratic Georgia. |
What is the status with History of Abkhazia? Thanks Ldingley 17:23, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

If you ever want a good laugh, check this out. Zandweb has been going around leaving messages in Persian that I'm a pro-Gerogian POV-pusher! :-) Khoikhoi 06:17, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ossetian Uprising 1920
Concerning the article Georgian-Ossetian conflict (1918-1920): Did you read Avtandil Menteshashvili: Some national and ethnic problems in Georgia (1918-1922)? He has done a lot of research about South Ossetia in 1920. Best wishes Irakli D 21:27, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
