Kamuli District

Kamuli is a district in southeastern Uganda. Like other Ugandan districts, it is named after its 'chief town'. Kamuli has a population of about 712,000 (2002 population census) Density 236 persons/km² southern area: Crops grown; coffee, cocoa, banana, maize, upland rice and vanilla. bee farming, fish farming northern area: cotton, maize, groundnuts, paddy and upland rice, citrus fruits, mangoes; part of the ‘cattle corridor’.
