Institute of Management Technology (IMT) is one of the Top 10[1] [2] business schools in India and is located at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
It has constantly been the pioneer in nurturing business leaders for the Indian corporate sector and contributing to the cause of a better social environment through cutting edge consultancy.

Established in 1980 by eminent industrialist Mahendra Nath, Institute of Management Technology was envisioned to be a center of excellence in the field of management education in India that will help in the Indian industry in matching the Western standards. Today, IMT has proven these ideals right, with its students being in top notch positions in both the Indian industry as well as the world economy, making valuable contributions to their field of work.
IMT is widely recognized as a center for excellence in management and technology education. It boasts of one of the best infrastructure in the country for educational institutes. It's strength lies in its eminent faculty and the quality of its courses that have, in many cases, been trendsetters. But above all, it is the high calibre of its students, that has set it apart from others.

IMT has always been alive to the changing demands of the industry and now offers a basket of courses.
The prospective students are required to qualify by taking the CAT and post that a group discussion and an interview.
The following are the courses offered -

- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Human Resource
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Finance
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - International Business
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Information Technology
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Executive
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Part-Time
Besides above mentioned programmes, IMT offers doctoral programme (Ph.D.) in Management.
IMT offers two-year postgraduate programmes in business management (PGDBM), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Information Technology (Erstwhile PGDCA), Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - International Business and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Human Resource. The flagship course is the PGDBM programme.
The highlight of the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Information Technology programme is that it no only stresses on the technical aspects but also inculcates managerial skills.
Keeping in mind the need for specialised Human Resource requirements of the growing Indian industry, IMT has also started a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - Human Resource (PGDBM - HR).
IMT also caters to the needs of business executives of various companies through its 3-year part time postgraduate programme solely designed for them (PGDBM P/T). Corporate participants can enroll in the MDP (Management Development Programme) to sharpen their business skills and learn managerial decision making. IMT's Fellow Program in Management (FPM) programme provides doctoral level education in business management and other related disciplines.
To cater to the ever increasing need of International Business managers, IMT has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management - International Business (PGDBM-IB) programme tailor made for these requirements. All the students of this course undergo international educational exposure through the student exchange programme.
Distance learning (DLP) and E-learning programmes of IMT are another key initatives designed to broaden the management education exposure to the relevant category of students who are unable to take up a full time or part time MBA course.
IMT also undertakes national and international projects that cater to governments, corporations and other organizations.
IMT’s educational programs have been recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India
While the Ghaziabad Campus offers all the courses, the Nagpur and Dubai campuses offer a selection of the above courses only.

The faculty at IMT is drawn from among the best minds in the country. The stringent faculty selection procedure, in which students also play a role, ensures that only the best eventually become faculties.
Apart from permanent faculties, IMT is also visited by a number of renowned visiting faculties from both the industry and other reputed academic institutions.
IMT, currently has around 50 core and 35 visiting faculties.

IMT, today, has 3 campuses: The first one is in Ghaziabad, which was established in 1980, the newly established second campus is in Nagpur (established in 2004) and a third campus in Dubai (established in 2006).
IMT Nagpur has been conceptualized as a centre for corporate excellence. The IMT Dubai campus is primarily for catering to need for international education.
[edit] Ghaziabad Campus
The Ghaziabad campus is a beautiful and vibrant 14.7 acre fully residential campus and is the primary campus of IMT. It was established in 1980. It presently offers both PGDBM and PGDCA courses through its state of the art educational facilities. All the students are housed in 9 hostels.
This campus also has many "Centres of Excellence" like the Centre for Global Supply Chain Management.
A football field, an badminton and table tennis court, a floodlit volleyball court, a floodlit basketball court, jogging tracks and a multipurpose gymnasium are some of the key recreational features of the campus.
This being the primary campus , offers all the programmes of IMT.
[edit] Nagpur Campus
The newly established center, spanning an area of 25 acres, boasts of a completely Wi-Fi campus with state of the art facilities offering PGDBA in various disciplines (marketing/finance/HR/IT/etc.) and MCA degrees. Most of IMT's programmes will also be offered from this campus in the near future.
It is has a lush green environment, and is equipped with ultra modern infrastructure and well-equipped hostel.
The Nagpur campus is the second campus of IMT.
The first batch of students graduated in 2006, and were well-placed in premier companies.

The newly established center, situated at the Academic city, Dubai, is aimed at fulfilling the needs of students for a high-quality, international education.
It has a modern campus built up with all world class amenities. The institute offers hostel and transport facilities.
The lush green 17 acre Wi-fi campus is meticulously designed to conform to world standards. The campus provides top-of-the-line infrastructure with state-of-the-art technology.
The Dubai campus is the third campus of IMT.
Presently 3 courses are being offered from this campus -
All the courses are duly licensed by Ministry of Higher Education, Government of U.A.E.
Classes will be starting from September 2006.

The constant interaction with the corporate sector is done through -
- Guest lectures
- Shrinkhla, a series of seminars on various important issues facing the industry
- Synergies, a series of round table conferences of industry heads
- Compass, an annual consultancy symposium
- Conquest, a series of live short-term projects in the area of HR
Various other competitions are also organized, all contributing to better well rounded personalities. A few of them are as follows -
- Chakravyuh, B-school sports festival at IMT, Ghaziabad
- Wizebyte, annual IT symposium, at IMT, Ghaziabad
- Tatva, Inter B-School Summer Internship Presentation Contest, at IMT, Ghaziabad
Passion, the annual B-school fest of IMT, Ghaziabad brings together the best minds of various business schools in the competitive arena of skills, entertainment and exchange of ideas.
Zeitgeist is the annual B-school fest of IMT, Nagpur, was organized for the first time in the month of October, 2005.

IMT's position as a center of excellence in management education was once again underscored as evident from Placements 2006. Over the years, IMT, Ghaziabad has always maintained an impeccable 100 % placement record.
Placements are usually conducted on the first sunday of January. IMT, Ghaziabad saw a repeat of January 2005 with 100 % placement in a span of few hours. The entire batch of 173 students in PGDBM, MHRM and MIB got placed on Day One of Placements 2006.
91 companies showed interest in recruiting from IMT this year. The average number of offers per student was 2.5 . Almost all the regular recruiters were back in action proving IMT's ability to consistently produce management graduates, capable of matching and surpassing the best.
[edit] Greater job diversity
There was greater choice available to the graduating batch both in terms of jobs being offered in new sectors and also greater diversity within a sector. Almost all the major sectors of the industry were represented at the Placements, reflecting the all-round strength of the IMT’s curriculum.
[edit] Rise in Salaries
For the PGDBM batch, the maximum Indian salary offered was Rs. 9.8 lakhs p.a. This year the average compensation touched Rs. 7.35 lakhs p.a., including 4 international offers of $85,000 each. This was a jump of over 15% on the average compensation package of last year.
The MHRM & CG batch saw an average salary of Rs. 5.4 lakhs p.a. with the maximum package of Rs. 7.83 lakhs p.a.
The average compensation package for the first batch of MIB students was Rs. 5.03 lakhs p.a.
