Garden Villas is a subdivision in Houston, Texas, United States.
Garden Villas is north of Hobby Airport on the banks of Sims Bayou. Platted in the 1920s, the lots are generously sized compared to today's standards, ranging from one-half acre to over two acres.
Most homes in the subdivision were built in the 1930s and 1940s, but construction continued through the 1950s, and the area was largely built out by the end of the decade. There are a few homes that were built in the 1880s and even the late 1990s.
The neighborhood is characterized by the diversity of home styles, generous lots, and its massive number of pecan trees. Hundreds mature of pecan trees, planted down both sides of every street, were planted in the 1920s when the subdivision was platted provide a canopy over every street in the subdivison.
The residents of Garden Villas are trying to keep out multi-family housing (including apartment complexes), which are seen as havens for crime and as structures that are reducing the beauty of the area. In addition, aircraft from the nearby airport rumble overhead some portions of the subdivison.

The neighborhood is zoned to the following Houston ISD schools: Garden Villas Elementary School, Hartman Middle School, and Sterling High School. Ortiz Middle School is adjacent to Garden Villas (Ortiz is on the other side of Telephone Road), yet Garden Villas students are not zoned to Ortiz.
Two Roman Catholic schools operated by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (Kindergarten - Grade 8) [1] and Mount Carmel High School [2], are near Garden Villas.
