Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was written by J. K. Rowling and published on the 16th of July, 2005. The book is the sixth Harry Potter book. It sold out quickest and earned the most money compared to the other Harry Potter books.
In the sixth book Harry begins his sixth year at the magical school Hogwarts with his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. During the year he has help in his worst class by the mysterious Half-Blood Prince, he begins to experience hormones, learns several facts about his enemy, Voldemort's past, and he loses someone very dear to him.
At the end of the book, the school of Hogwarts is attacked by Dumbledore's enemies, and Professor Snape kills Dumbledore. Some people who read the books and like the character of Snape say that he did this because Dumbledore told him to, so that Voldemort would trust him. Others say that Snape turned evil.
