First-person shooter
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
A first-person shooter is a computer or video game where you see the level from the eyes of the character you are playing.
These games are also called FPS for short. Lots of them are violent and about killing other game characters. Because they are from the view of your character, you can only see your hands and your weapon.
Usual signs that a game is an fps is that you can see:
- Your hands and a weapon
- Information about the health of your person
- Information of how much ammunition you have
- A map that shows where to go
- An aiming cross in the middle of the screen:

Some FPS are for example:
- Halo (video game series) (including Halo 2)
- Far Cry
- Doom
- Half-Life
- Quake
- Unreal
- Call of Duty
