Dieser von 1883 datierende Rekonstruktionsversuch von Lemaitre wurde durch die moderne Forschung als in den folgenden Details fehlerhaft erkannt:
- Riemen ungleicher Länge
- Riemen gleicher Blattform (ist das wahr ?)
- Höhenstaffelung der Ruderer absteigend von innen nach außen
- Fehlen eines Auslegers

This drawing made by Lemaitre in 1883 is an old-fashioned view of how may have been a trireme :
- Oars of different length ;
- Oarsmen placed from the higher to the lower levels from in to out ;
- The parexérésiai are missing.

Ce croquis de Lemaitre datant de 1883 ne tient pas compte des découvertes archéologiques récentes et contient plusieurs erreurs :
- Rames de longueurs différentes ;
- Rameurs les plus haut placés le plus à l'intérieur ;
- Absence des parexérésiai.
