Turkish Stars
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Turkish Stars (Turkish: Türk Yıldızları) are the aerobatic demonstration team of the Turkish Air Force and the official national aerobatic team of Turkey. The team was formed on November 7, 1992, was officially named the Turkish Stars on January 11, 1993. The team flies 8 Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighters, making them one of the few teams to fly supersonic aircraft aerobatically.
The team's heavily accented and generally humorous announcer often draws much attention to the team.
