Thomas E. Sniegoski

Thomas E. Sniegoski is a novelist, comic book writer and pop culture journalist.
His newest works include the original juvenile fantasy series OutCast and the grown-up fantasy series The Menagerie, both of which are collaborative efforts with Christopher Golden. His other fiction works include a conspiracy thriller called Force Majeure, also with Golden, and his own unique quartet of supernatural teen thrillers called The Fallen.
Among his more recent comic book work: Stupid, Stupid Rat Tails, a prequel miniseries to fan favorite indie hit, Bone. Sniegoski collaborated with Bone creator Jeff Smith on the prequel, making him the only writer Smith has ever asked to work on those characters.
Sniegoski was the co-writer of the monthly Angel comic book series, based on the hit show, the Chaos Comic mini-series Jade: Turn Loose the Dragon and its sequel Jade: Redemption, and fan favorite artist Randy Green’s creator-owned series, The Dollz. He has written dozens of comics, including Batman Chronicles #22 and Wolverine/Punisher: Revelation and the Hellboy-inspired three issue mini-series, B.P.R.D: The Hollow Earth was co-written with Christopher Golden and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Tom has been working in the comic book field for ten years, for companies as diverse as Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Acclaim, Harris, Crusade, Caliber, Spiderbaby, London Night, and most recently, Cartoon Books. Let's not forget include Star Trek: Embrace the Wolf for Wildstorm, Batman: Real World for DC, Ghost, Razor, Shi and a Waterworld mini-series which was a sequel to the Universal film, also with Christopher Golden, and several Buffy the Vampire Slayer related projects for Dark Horse. His fan favorite series Dogs O' War will hopefully returning sometime in the near future.
Other genre works include the original novel Angel: Soul Trade and the non-fiction release Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Monster Guide, written with Christopher Golden and comics legend Stephen R. Bissette. He and Golden also scripted the two Buffy the Vampire Slayer video games for Electronic Arts and the Microsoft X-Box game system.
Tom was one of the people primarily responsible for the resurrection of Vampirella in the early nineties. During his long tenure on the series, Sniegoski defined the character, and created an extensive supporting cast for Vengeance of Vampirella, which had sales in excess of 100,000 before the recent downturn in the industry.
Tom's comics and fiction have appeared in such anthologies as Taboo, and literary journals including Haunts and The Northeastern Literary Magazine.
