Quispamsis, New Brunswick

Quispamsis is a Canadian town located in Kings County, New Brunswick. A suburb of Saint John, it was merged in 1998 with the nearby communities of Gondola Point and Wells. Its 2001 population was 13,757.
Located along the lower Kennebecasis River valley, Quispamsis covers an area of 60 km² and borders the town of Rothesay to the southwest and Hammond River to the northeast. Outdoor recreational opportunities are available at the Hammond River Nature Park, Ritchie Lake, and Meenan's Cove.
The Gondola Point neighbourhood is home to the Gondola Point Ferry crossing the Kennebecasis River, linking the Kingston Peninsula. This ferry, originally installed by William Pitt, was the first underwater cable ferry in the world.
