The Motorola V220 is an entry level camera flip-phone. The phone features tri-band capabilities, a VGA camera with MP3 ringtones and a vibrant color screen. The phone is similar to the V300, V500 and V600, but does not have as many features. The phones main emphasis is on cost saving. This starts with the colour screen. Unlike most phones with TFT sceens the motorolla V220 uses STN technology, which is less brighter and crisp. The camera is of poor quality and images are often fuzzy and dark. Other economical features include the limited memory, which stands at just over 1130kb. Even by hacking the phone and deleting pre-stored ringtones the highest acheivable memory is 2,400kb. The phone also lacks bluetooth, expandable memory and video-recording.
