Kasumi Todoh (藤堂香澄 Tōdō Kasumi?) is a video game character in both the Art of Fighting and King of Fighters series.

Kasumi is the daughter of Ryuhaku Todoh, the first enemy in the original Art of Fighting.
Kasumi grew up learning the Todoh school of Aikido and Kobujutsu, taught to her by her father. As her family's sole heir, she does all she can to stand up for the Todoh way. When Ryuhaku stayed at Southtown to settle an old score with a man named Takuma Sakazaki, Kasumi remained in her house, waiting for her father's return. A couple of months later, she got some bad news: Ryuhaku had been defeated by Ryo Sakazaki, Takuma's son and hasn't been seen since. She decided to fight Ryo and anybody else in order to avenge her father. Unfortunately enough, her mother, Shizuka, did not like that idea. But she eventually makes peace with him and returns to Japan with her mother. [1]

Kasumi went on to participate in the 1996 King of Fighters tournament with King and Mai Shiranui, replacing Yuri Sakazaki who left for Ryo's team in place of Yuri's father Takuma (Takuma threatened to freeze Yuri's assets in order to motivate Yuri to join Ryo's team). After Goenitz (highest priest of the Orochi Power) was defeated (not to mention taking his own life), King took Mai and Kasumi to her bar.
In 1999, she not only reunited with King, but also teamed with Blue Mary and Li Xiangfei to try to stop NESTS. Later in 2000, Kasumi rejoined Mai, and the two teamed up with Yuri and Hinako Shijou. While Kasumi had some reservations about teaming up with Yuri (mainly because Yuri is a Kyokugenryu Karate practitioner), Kasumi knows that she has to live under a family code of ethics and accepted Yuri as her teammate. This was a sign that Kasumi matured a little bit as time passed by.
In the newest KOF game, The King of Fighters XI, she teams up with Malin (who had teamed with Athena Asamiya and Hinako Shijou in KOF 2003) and the bitter rival of the Sakazaki family, Eiji Kisaragi to form the Anti-Kyokugenryu Team.

- Kasumi considers herself as a rival to Kyokugenryu Karate, but knows that in her heart, a code of ethics has to be followed, as she knows that she cannot foul her family's name. She respects all rivals, and will cooperate with other people's efforts to fight injustice at anytime. As opposed to Eiji Kisaragi (who totally hates Kyokugenryu Karate), Kasumi remains a gentle, kind rival to Kyokugenryu Karate, although she can be high-spirited and immature at times.
- Kasumi provides a lot of comic relief in Art of Fighting 3. In the game, she has to look up a translator to see which word in English she needs to say (because she does not understand a word of English when she first runs into Ryo). This issue is not played up in the KOF series, except that she retains her AoF3 win pose (where she uses a dictionary to look up the phrase "Come back when you grow up"). She also provides a bit of comic relief in her team's ending in King of Fighters XI, where almost all her quotes have to do with her father, which annoys Eiji.
- Kasumi makes cameo appearances alongside her father before his fights and after his victories in Capcom vs. SNK 2, usually mirroring her father's poses.
- Kasumi also appears as a playable character in SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom and The King of Fighters R-2.
- Kasumi has always been voiced by Masae Yumi, who also voiced Leona Heidern and Vice.
- By the AOF timeline, she could be about 17 years older than what the official biography might claim.
- She is the only new character from Art Of Fighting 3 to ever appear out of this franchise as a playable character.
- In a "KOF 96" Hong Kong licensed comic which is not in the part of canon, she was displayed as being Kyo Kusanagi's love interest, just to be killed near the end. She was replaced by Yuki the next year.
- Kasumi is commonly thought of as a very technical character, due to her weak normal attacks and reliance on reversal moves.[2]
- In SNK vs. Capcom, Kasumi receives a new DM: a command throw called "Shiranui" (no relation to Mai). It looks somewhat similar Ibuki's special move Thunder Blow.
