Jamal Nazrul Islam

Jamal Nazrul Islam is a famous physicist and mathematician of Bangladesh.He was born in 24th February, 1939 in Jhenaidah. Currently he is a professor of Chittagong University.

He attended Shishu Biddyapit of Kolkata, Chittagong Collegiate School, Lawrence College of Pakistan for his secondary and higher secondary education. He graduated from Saint Xaviers College in Kolkata. Then he went to Cambridge University for higher study. There he graduated for the second time from Trinity College. He earned his doctorate in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from Cambridge in 1964. Later he was awarded Doctor of Science(SCD) by Cambridge University.

- Fellow of science research council in Cardiff, University College from 1975-1978.
- Lecturer and reader in City University, London from 1978-1984.
- Professor at Chittagong University in Bangladesh.
