Albertas Šimėnas

Albertas Šimėnas was born February 15, 1950 in Papiliai, a village in Anykščiai district municipality. He was Prime Minister of Lithuania for 3 days, then when the January Events happened he disappeared. He reappeared a few days later when the turmoil of the Russian invasion had died down. Some people thought that he was kidnapped by the Russians, although afterwards he admitted that he went into hiding as he was scared by the prospect of an invasion.
