Škoda Favorit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Škoda Favorit was a supermini first produced in 1988. It had a 1.3 L I4 engine which produced 62 hp and had a top speed of around 90 mph. The Favorit eventually succeeded the archaic rear-engined Škoda 105/120 (Estelle), and was a world apart in design terms thanks to its hatchback bodystyle (designed by Bertone) and front-wheel drive. It proved itself as one of central Europe's most popular cars and was replaced in 1995 by the Felicia, a revised version of the Favorit, developed in conjunction with Volkswagen.
Other bodystyles offered were a 4-door station wagon (called Forman) and a pickup truck.
