Čajniče (Serbian Cyrillic: Чајниче) is a town and municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 1991, the population of Čajniče municipality was 8,919, including:
- 4,714 Serbs (52.85%) (See: Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- 4,007 Muslims by nationality (44.93%)
- 76 Yugoslavs
- 5 Croats
- 117 others
The town of Čajniče itself had a population of 4,253, including:
- 2,687 Serbs (63%)
- 1,408 Muslims by nationality (33%)
- 60 Yugoslavs
- 2 Croats
- 96 others
