The descendants of Hafoka, the younger brother of Mataelehaʻamea, the Tuʻi Kanokupolu.
Most of the clans of this tribe are named after parts of a canoe, the Hifofua. For example: Fie-lakepa (want to be on the frontdeck (where the chiefs would lodge)), Tuʻi-vaka-nō (king of the rented boat), Lā-vaka (sail of the boat), Fohe (paddle), Maʻafu (steering course on the stars),…
