A term used to refer to the Southeastern part of the United States. It is important to note that while all Confederate States were from the South, not all Southern States joined the Confederacy. The farthest Southern States are refered to as the "Deep South". Southerners have their own "redneck" stereotype. The States that make up "The South" are usally
