Lake
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
A lake is a large body of water, smaller than an ocean. Lakes do not flow, like rivers, but they sometimes have rivers flowing into or out of them. It is not connected to any oceans, so it is not a sea. Because some lakes are very big, people in the past sometimes called them seas.
