Internet Explorer
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
Internet Explorer is a web browser made by the Microsoft software company. The browser was controversial because Microsoft included it with its Windows operating system. Also, Microsoft had promised Spyglass Inc, the company that made the browser, to sell it, and give Spyglass some of the money that Microsoft made. Also, some other browsers were being sold for money as well. Some people think Microsoft gave Explorer away for free to put these other companies out of business. Internet Explorer works on Windows , Mac OS and the UNIX OS's Solaris and HP-UX (Microsoft no longer make IE for MacOS and Unix).
Many people who use other browsers do not like Internet Explorer. They say it is insecure and has lots of bugs and security holes in it.
