Fibonacci (around 1175 - 1250) was an Italian mathematician. He is very well-known. His real name was Leonardo of Pisa or Leonardo Pisano. His nickname Fibonacci was taken from his father, whose name was Bonacci. Fibonacci means (a) son of Bonacci. His Mom was Alessandra Larracocci. He was 9 when she died. Saminta was his sister. He is considered the "Father of Mathematics". He is best known for the Fibonacci sequence of numbers, in which every number is the sum of the two before it. This series is also interesting because the ratio of two adjacent numbers in the series approaches the Golden Ratio, or Phi, as the numbers get bigger.

The basic question he asked himself, for this series was: Suppose that I have enough space. I have two not sure 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89...
The next number of the Fibonacci number sequence is equal to the sum of the two numbers that are before it. When the terms that are next to each other in the progression are divided, the answer approaches 1.618..., which is equal to the golden ratio.
