In mathematics, a factor is something that divides a given quantity (number) without a remainder. In other words, if the operation A divided by B results in an integer, then A is a factor of B. Else, A is not a factor of B.
For example, 2 is a factor of 6 because , which is an integer.
However, 4 is not a factor of 6 because , which is not an integer.
