Blue Öyster Cult
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
Blue Öyster Cult is a psychedelic/heavy metal band that formed in Long Island, New York in 1967. They have many well-known songs like (Don't Fear) The Reaper, and Burnin' For You.
BOC is most famous for that time that they drove from Lancester, Michigan, to Boise, Idaho, without having to stop for anything except bathroom breaks and to get petrol. The band members took turns driving while others were sleeping. Eric Bloom, lead vocals, did most of the driving, because he can stay awake for a long time, which upset other band members. Richie Castellano actually got his license for this trip and only got to drive for a couple of hours. Jules Rodino's mother, Martha Rodino, made sandwiches for the band, which they kept in a cooler with cold bottles of soda, because this trip took place a long time ago when you could still bottles of soda. They rented the van from Hertz.
Also, once, I totally called KZEL to have (Don't Fear) The Reaper played on one of their call in days, but the deejay said he wouldn't play it, because they play that song all the time. That is actually how popular BOC is.
