Big Ben
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
Big Ben is the name of the famous clock tower (and one of its bells) at the northern end of the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London, England.
Originally, Big Ben was just the name of the biggest bell (the one that strikes the hours). The name of the tower is officially the Victoria Tower, Palace of Westminster. But most people, including Londoners called the tower "Big Ben" also, and if you say "Big Ben" today, most people think of the tower, not the bell.
