Agnostic
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
An agnostic is a person who thinks that nobody can tell if there is a God or not.
Some kinds of agnostics are:
- Strong agnosticism (also called hard agnosticism, closed agnosticism, strict agnosticism, absolute agnosticism) is the belief that it's impossible to tell whether a God exists or not.
- Weak agnosticism (also called soft agnosticism, open agnosticism, empirical agnosticism, temporal agnosticism) is the belief that nobody knows right now whether a God exists or not, but that we might find out someday.
- Apathetic agnosticism is the belief that, because Gods do not interact with the world in a very big way, it does not matter whether they exist or not.
- Ignosticism is the belief that the idea of God is useless, because believers and non-believers have the same kinds of lives.
- Agnostic theism is when people mostly believe in Gods but are not completely sure whether the gods are real.
- Agnostic atheism is the view that a God may or may not exist, but probably does not exist.
