Zborul Oceanic 815, cunoscut şi sub denumirea de Zborul 815, a fost o cursă aeriană fictivă care s-a prăbuşit în serialul TV Lost (serial). Cursa avea ca origine oraşul Sydney, Australia iar ca destinaţie oraşul Los Angeles, California. Cursa are a suferit din cauza defectării unor instrumente de bord în timpul zborului. Aceste defecţiuni tehnice îi determină pe piloţi să încerce o aterizare în Fiji, deviind avionul cu 1600 km la momentul prăbuşirii. În drum spre Fiji, avionul se segmentează în trei părţi care cad pe o insulă misterioasă din Oceanul Pacific pe 22 septembrie 2004.

Oceanic Airlines este o companie aeriană fictivă, folosită în diferite filme de cinema sau de televiziune. Totuşi, trebuie remarcat că în Lost, este partea centrală a mitologiei serialului. Oceanic a fost o companie aeriană australiană de primă importanţă fondată în anul 1980. Şi-a încetat activitatea după prăbuşirea Zborului 815, după ce anterior avea curse regulate spre Los Angeles, Londra, Sydney şi Seoul.

Flight 815 was a regular, timetabled .flight from Sydney to LA. The flight time was 13 hours, 52 minutes. There were 361 (not the 352 stated on Oceanic's website) passenger seats on the plane. There were 30 First Class, 45 Business Class and 286 Economy Class seats. Passengers with known seat numbers are as follows:
- 9E - Boone Carlyle
- 9F - Shannon Rutherford
- 20G - Hugo Reyes (also purchased a ticket for the adjacent seat)
- 23B - Dr. Jack Shephard
- 23C - Harold Wollstein
- 23D - Rose Henderson
- 23E - Bernard Nalder
- 24D - John Locke
- 27G - US Marshal Edward Mars
- 27H - Kate Austen
- 29C - Charlie Pace
- 42F - Ana Lucia Cortez
Interesting passengers on the plane included a doctor, a murder suspect, a US Marshal, an ex-Iraqi Republican Guard soldier, an ex-LAPD officer, a British rock star, a multi-millionaire lottery winner and a con man. The body of Dr. Christian Shephard was in the hold of the plane. Walt's dog, Vincent, was also on the plane. It is unknown how many passengers and crew were onboard the flight but at least 70 passengers, one member of the cabin crew, and the pilot survived the initial crash.
[modifică] The crash and aftermath
Flight 815 split into three parts in midair. The three parts of the plane all landed on the island at various locations. The central fuselage of the plane landed on the coast of the island. Initially, it is believed that 49 of its passengers survived; however, it is later revealed that one member of the camp (Ethan Rom) was, in fact, not from the plane. The tail section landed in the ocean on the opposite side of the island from the center section. This third section had 23 survivors. The very front of the plane, with part of business class and the cockpit, landed in the jungle, not too far inland from the remains of the fuselage; of the passengers in this section of the plane, only the pilot survived the initial impact. Various pieces were also scattered through the nearby jungle, including a complete set of seats found in a small pool beneath a waterfall and Jack Shepherd, who woke up jabbed into a bamboo stand on the edges of the jungle in the immediate aftermath of the crash. During the season 2 finale, Desmond Hume surmises that the electromagnetic field built up by not "pushing the button" was to blame for the plane crash, as, according to the computer log printouts from The Pearl, the "system failure" happened on September 22, 2004, the date on which the crash took place (also the date of Lost's series premiere).
The character Hurley believes the plane crashed due to the bad luck which seems to accompany him following his lottery win with "the numbers".
