[edit] Move to Zaporizhzhia Oblast
In accordance with the policy set forth at the WikiProject: Ukrainian subdivisions, I request that this article be moved to Zaporizhzhia Oblast from Zaporizhia Oblast, as wikipedia lists Ukrainian oblasts per the name of their administrative center, in this case Zaporizhzhia.--tufkaa 20:46, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, it should be the other way around. "Zaporizhzhia" should be moved into "Zaporizhia" if we follow the simplified National transliteration system [1]. Please take a look on WP:UKR. -- KPbIC 03:26, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

- Let me clarify. It's "Zaporizhzhia" if we go by the official National transliteration system, and it's "Zaporizhia" if we go according to the official simplified National system (double "ж" transliterates into single "zh"). There are other possibilities too. But "Zaporizhzhia" vs. "Zaporizhia" is a particular case. I'm advocating for sticking with clear rules of transliteration.
