Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is a private Roman Catholic high school located in Cleveland, Ohio. It is commonly and abbreviated VASJ. It was formed by the 1990 merger of Villa Angela Academy (all girls) and St. Joseph High School (all boys) in 1990. It is run by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
The villa~angela saint joseph high school is maintained of the original sait joseph high school on lakeshore blvd. The "New" Villa angela academy is now the ne lakeshore branch of the cleveland public library, or blind centers. The Villa angela high school's teaching methods were to have all open classrooms and each class in the same room. Saint joseph highschool's original school colors were dark green and light green. as sees in the school hallways. villa angela~saint joseph high school is under going a million dollar renovation , and expansion in the near future of 2013. this has not been decided yet, but most likely will happen. Before merging villa angela high school with sait joseph high school in 1990, Sait joseph high school was going to merge with REGINA high school in 1989. This new high school would have been named REJOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL, and the mascot wouldv'e been the leprechauns. the school cololrs would have been forest green and fusia. The original mascot was going to be the figting scallions. REJOSEPH high wouldve been the old SHORE CULTRAL CENTER. this plan never worked out because REGINA wanted to be a self serve school of it's kind. So Sait joe's decided to choose villa angela academy, because they were the only choice.
