- Overall not bad, but I'd try and make the intro a little easier to understand - I think it's a tad hard to swallow for someone who has no idea what an actual video game is. Also, I think some of the examples need to be cut down. For instance: "Several websites and publications devoted solely to video games exist, including Official Xbox Magazine, Nintendo Power, Official Playstation Magazine, GamePro, GameSpot, GameSpy, IGN and GameFAQs." — this is more of a list and with my experience of Wikipedia will no doubt get bigger and bigger. Not sure, but there's probably an article on this anyway; link there or pick the most notable publication (longest standing, most subscribers - whatever). K1Bond007 19:01, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

I agree the "Popularity" section could use some trimming. I just copied most of it from the computer and video games article. Please feel free to trim that section. Actually, I think the "Video games in popular culture" section could be spun off into its own article (though, who would read it?).
I also agree with my esteemed colleague K1Bond007. The intro is a bit awkward and, though technically correct, yes, someone who has no idea what a video game is would have a hard time getting a feel for what it is from that description. However, I do think it is better than what was in the original article (how many people understand what a "virtual universe" is?). Anyone have any suggestions for improving it?
I just copied most of the publications and websites content too. I think just two or three major publication would be fine. They should include sites or magazines that cover a majority of the platforms, not just specific consoles or computers. — Frecklefoot | Talk 15:01, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
