Veikka Gustafsson

Veikka Gustafsson (b. 14th of January in 1968) is a famous Finnish mountaineer. He was born in Espoo and he has three siblings, Elina, Erkki and Esa. Veikka's first name is Eero. His family bought a cabin in Tuupovaara and they moved there in 1976. Veikka is the first Finnish person to have reached the top of Mount Everest. Spring of 1997, he also became the first Finnish man to have reached the summit without the use of bottled oxygen.
He has set his mind and body to conquer all the summits of the mountains over 8000 metres, without the use of bottled oxygen and has so far succeeded in reaching these summits:

On Spring 2007 Veikka is planning to climb the remaining three 8000 meter peaks: Gasherbrum I(8068m), Gasherbrum II(8035m) and Broad Peak(8047m). These peaks are situated in Pakistan.
He often climbs mountains with Ed Viesturs.
