Treens

The Treens are fictional aliens, usually green-skinned, who lived on the north hemisphere of the planet Venus in the Dan Dare stories. They are described as "reptilian".
Their leader was the Mekon.
In their present state they are mostly unemotional without the usual human feelings about the sanctity of life. They lived in highly organized life where they obeyed orders without query. For a very long time they were in a stalemate war with the Therons. They have space travel within the Solar System. Their capital city is Mekonta.
Mekonta is on islands in a lake, and may be been somewhat inspired by Tenochtitlan.
In old times they lived as savage tribes in jungle constantly having violent tribal wars among each other. They changed into their present life mode as the end result of the Therons taking over Treenland by force in an attempt to civilize them.
