Torkhow

Torkhow is the name of a Tehsil (Town) of Chitral district in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. It is 108 km from the main city of Chitral. Shotkhar is the main town of this region. Torkhow is on the border of Wakhan (a village of Afghanistan). The language of Chitral, Khowar, originated from this area.
