"Oh no! I just COWABUNGA'd in my pants!"
To tell you the truth, Pokémon game glitches are a very peculiar lot. Being a fan of the games from way back, I very clearly remember in the early days of their North American release how many players (especially young 'uns) were gullible enough to think that MISSINGNO. and its variants actually represented something other than the game spontaneously compensating for nonexistent, undefined characters and picture maps. Photoshopped images of Marill (Pikablu) and Togepi (Topegy) in the RGBY generation games as well as "Pokégod" rumors didn't help to quell the unfortunate idiocy in the fanbase.

Well, you can sort of see the logic. Personally, I wasn't thrilled at all about the change to Conker at first (after all, what's to be said for Diddy Kong Racing and Conker's Pocket Tales?), but the more I considered that the N64 at that point already had Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, and Donkey Kong 64, the more I understood. It didn't ever seem to me like the N64 was a kiddy system; as awesome as B-K and B-T were, Rareware was in danger of falling into a creative rut, and it seems that's how BFD got started.
