The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles is a children's book written by Julie Andrews Edwards, the pen name of Julie Andrews, the singer and actress.
It is the tale of three children, Lindy, Ben, and Thomas, who find themselves on an unorthodox adventure with a strange little man, Professor Savant, into Whangdoodleland, where their sole objective is to meet the very last Whangdoodle in the world. With oily characters such as the Prime Minister of Whangdoodleland and the High-Behind Splintercat against them, the children engage in a captivating race through a magical fantasy land.
Whangdoodleland is an interesting land, filled with interesting (and yet not-so-nice) creatures dispatched by the Prime Minister, such as the Splintercat (as mentioned above) and others. They cannot hurt the children but they do want to keep them away from the very last Whangdoodle, the King.
