The Friends of Eddie Coyle

The Friends of Eddie Coyle is a film starring Robert Mitchum, Peter Boyle, and Alex Rocco. Released in 1973, it was directed by Peter Yates, and adapted from a novel by George V. Higgins. The film takes place in Boston, Massachusetts and centers on an aging low level gun runner for the Irish Mob who informs to the ATF to avoid more jail time. It is often said to be the best Boston movie ever made.
