The Foster Care Council of Canada

The Foster Care Council of Canada is a Canadian non-profit organization comprised primarily of people who have lived in foster care and includes other members of the community who are concerned about the well-being of the country's 70,000 foster children.
It is based in Ontario.

- The Foster Care Council of Canada is dedicated to ensuring that children and youth in foster care are provided with an opportunity to express their views concerning all matters which affect their lives in accordance with Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

- Notify child welfare service stakeholders of pertinent legislative or governmental activity
- Educate the public about important child welfare matters
- Support those who have been adversely affected by child welfare services
