The Feeling is a five-piece English band from Sussex and London. This guitar based "soft rock" band categorise their music as "pop" and their middle-of-the-road sound has been compared to a range of acts including Supertramp, 10cc, Electric Light Orchestra, Andrew Gold and Elton John.
Following a limited release of their debut "Fill My Little World" in late 2005, the band entered the UK Top 10 with their first full release "Sewn" in March 2006. The single was one of the year's biggest radio hits.
Their debut album Twelve Stops and Home was released in the UK on June 5, 2006.

The majority of the band are from Horsham in Sussex, with the exception of lead vocalist Sells, who is from London, and bassist Jones, who is from Forest Row, which is also in Sussex.
Their name comes from a small bar in Paris, which they thought fitting for a band but not for a bar.
They spent a lot of time in the Alps before their debut doing covers (such as "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles) and live gigs.

After championing The Feeling's "Sewn", BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles went on to use the groups second release, "Fill My Little World", as the theme tune to his Breakfast Show. To celebrate the release of Twelve Stops and Home, the band's record company, Island Records, took 120 British music journalists on the Eurostar to Paris for the day, where the band performed live in a restaurant. This was in recognition of the fact the band took their name from a Parisian bar.
The single "Sewn" reached #7 in the UK charts in March 2006, followed by the #10 hit "Fill My Little World" in May 2006. This release spent 4 consecutive weeks at #16 and outsold the band's debut. "Never Be Lonely" was released in August 2006 and became their third top ten hit, peaking at #9, where it stayed for 2 weeks.
They were featured at many of the summer music festivals, including T In The Park, V Festival and Oxegen Festival. They also played at the Jesus May Ball on 19 June 2006.
They appeared on the opening episode of "The Charlotte Church Show" on 1 September 2006, performing their "Never Be Lonely" single with Charlotte Church providing background vocals.
Richard Jones, the bassist, is married to pop star Sophie Ellis Bextor.
In July 2006's issue of Attitude, Dan Gillespie Sells came out as gay. [1]

The Feeling are set to go on their biggest tour of the UK yet, performing in Brighton, Bournemouth,Glasgow, Cambridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and London amongst other cities. As of October 2006, The Feeling are touring the USA, opening for The Fray and strengthening their ever-growing following across the Atlantic. They are selling a reduced version of Twelve Stops and Home called Four Stops and Home along the way. It consists of "Sewn", "Helicopter", "When I Return" and "All You Need To Do". [2] In March 2007, The Feeling will begin a tour of their own in the USA. During Razorlight's spring tour, they teamed together with them as their support band.
In a newsletter released on 5 October 2006, The Feeling confirmed that the fourth single from Twelve Stops and Home will be "Love It When You Call", to be released on Monday 20 November 2006. B-sides, formats (expected 7" and CD Single) and a video will follow.
"Never Be Lonely" has been nominated for Best Track in this years Q Awards, along with Arctic Monkeys' "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor", Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars", Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and Scissor Sisters' "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'".
