The Texas Institute for Genomic Medicine (TIGM) was founded in 2005 under a $50 million award from the Texas Enterprise Fund. Created to pioneer the development of life-changing medical breakthroughs, the TIGM will accelerate the pace of medical discoveries and the development of the biotechnology industry in Texas. The TIGM is developing a C57-based gene trap library that will contain more than 300,000 sequence tagged clones covering more than 17,000 unique genes.
