Hello, regarding your edit to the article Carol Yager, I removed your edits due to the fact that they did not conform to the Neutral Point of View policy and because they were not done in a manner that is in accordance with the editing guidelines. However, I would very much like to know wether or not you are truly related to the late Miss Yager because your unbiased and first-hand help will be of great use to Wikipedia and this article. Even if you are not related to Miss Yager, if you have any information to add to this article that is is in accordance with the previously stated Neutral Point of View policy and follows these Five Pillars, we would all appreciate that you change (in an encyclopedic manner) the article to correspond to what you know the truth to be, not to add conflicting information after every paragraph.

Here are some pages to familiarize yourself with the basic policies of Wikipedia:

It may seem like a lot of information, but whether you edit Carol Yager or the over million articles on Wikipedia, those resources will surely help to get you started. Good luck! K-UNIT 06:30, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Kevin,

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right or not. Is this what you mean by communicating via this page? I have been reading through some of the guidelines, and I'm wondering if everything I write would not be classified as 'original research'? I can't necessarily 'cite authoritative sources', all of my knowledge of my sister comes first-hand. The only authoritative sources, as far as I know, are her daughter, Heather, and myself, her only living immediate relatives, and the people who knew her best. Does that count as authoritative & verifiable?

--T

  • Yes, you are doing this communication the correct way. And yes you would be an authoritative source. Who would be more authoritative on your sister that you yourself? K-UNIT 03:27, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Tnx for the info.

[edit] Looks good

The additions/changes to the Carol Yager article are superb. There are just a few very small changes I will make here and there, but otherwise it is excellent. Thank you very much for your help and cooperation on this matter. Wikipedia and the memory of your sister are in a much better state for your work.

We could also use your help on any articles you see on Wikipedia that you feel could be improved. Whether or not you choose to continue your work on Wikipedia it has certainly been very helpful and enlightening for both me and whoever else whishes to know the truth about your sister. Thanks! K-UNIT 08:04, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Please check your user page for an expression of my gratitude.

Thank you, I'm glad it's more acceptable. I wanted to link the FMS & recoverd memory references to thier Wikipedia pages, but I don't know how. If you can help, I'd appreciate it, as well as any other cross-references you might spot. Also, 'Cat Scratch Fever' has a Wiki page that could be cross-referenced too, and, I didn't do the metric conversions.

BTW, I have contributed a couple other articles in the past.

I've figured out how to do the links myself now. Thanks for all your help.

[edit] Mediation

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Carol Yager, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible.

  • K-UNIT here. I realize that I was somewhat important in getting this article into the state it was prior to it being reverted. However, getting directly involved in a dispute such as this is not the best idea for me. But if you need my help please don't hesitate to ask. I wil gladly support your side in a dispute such as this for the reasons I have statred earlier. I wish you the best of luck and want you to please ask for any support for your side if you need it at my talk page. K-UNIT 03:35, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Here is the pre-revert Carol Yager article you requested. I found it very easily in the Page History.

Here it is.

[edit] How to sign comments

From now on, when you sign comments, do not skip a line and write ""--T"". Instead, you really should just put four tildes (like this: ~~~~) immediately after your comment. It will show up as your name, like this: K-UNIT 01:50, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Preview

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Geniac 22:33, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Carol Yager footnotes

Terry, the article is looking much better. It is important, however, to footnote the individual facts in the article, rather than just listing references at the bottom. Are you familiar with the /ref tag? Uucp 17:42, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Responding to the note you left on my page, you can find out about Wikipedia footnotes at this link. It may be easiest to learn by example. If you check out the "edit" pages of Peter F. Paul or Harlem, you will see many footnotes from whch you may learn. Leave me a note if you need any help with it. Thanks, Uucp 20:34, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citing yourself

Citing yourself is a little touchy, but if your comments were published from a legitimate third party publication, it's OK. The risk is that people may presume you are quoting selectively, as you are close enough to the subject to have lost objectivity. However, given that we're talking about a page on Carol Yager and not, say, the Israel/Palestine conflict, I don't think anybody is likely to object. Uucp 20:36, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Carol Yager mediation

Hello, I'm sorry it's been awhile, and I'm not sure if its a stale issue, but I recently agreed to mediate that case. Please either accept or reject me as a mediator there, and if you accept, please let me know if you would prefer public or private mediation. If it's a stale issue, just say so.
