[edit] Synopsis
In the beginning, a human wakes up and realizes he has turned into Squirtle. After digesting this fact a bit, he decides to join a Pokémon Rescue Team called "Team Go-Getters", along with Chikorita and Charmander. They find a mission in the Pelipper Post Office about finding Pichu's missing older bro Pikachu, and the popular Team A.C.T. (Alakazam, Charizard, and Tyranitar) is busy rescuing Plusle and Minun from Magma Cavern. However, they will not be the only ones doing the mission. Another team called "Team Meanies" (Gengar, Ekans, and Medicham) will be doing it, as well. They later find Pichu confused by Team Meanies in the cave Pikachu was near, so they let him come along with them and eventually come out of the cave. Suddenly, a Skarmory catches Pichu on top of the nearby Mt. Steel (where she had previously taken Pikachu). Team Go-Getters goes on top of Mt. Steel and fight Skarmory, winning because of a Quick Seed given by Pikachu to Squirtle. Skarmory turns back to her normal self, and everyone sees Pelipper fly down to the post office. Team Go-Getters returns with Pikachu and Pichu, and after a bit, go to the post office for another excellent mission.

[edit] References to the game
This special makes many references to the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, and one example is the Skarmory, which is the first boss in the game where you have to save a Diglett from Skarmory. In this special, Team Go-Getters saves a Pikachu. Another similarity is Team A.C.T (called Team Alakazam in the game) is off to fight Groudon. But in the game, Alakazam and his team are only there to fight Groudon, not save a Plusle and a Minun from it.
