Taylor Hackford

Taylor Hackford (born December 31, 1944 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American film director. He received an Oscar in 1979 for the short film Teenage Father and received two Oscar nominations in 2004 for the Ray Charles biopic Ray. Hackford married actress Helen Mirren, his domestic partner since 1986, on his 53rd birthday, 31 December 1997, in the Scottish Highlands.
