The Tactical Provost Wing (TPW) is a group of around 200 Royal Air Force Police with its Headquarters at RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire, England.
Its core responsibility is the policing of military personnel and, within certain jurisdiction, the local civilian population in combat zones.
The TPW has had a major deployment in Iraq since 2003, where it is constantly employed in searches of passengers and cargo, guarding aircraft and their cargo, and assessing airfield security.
