"Suddenly I See" is a song by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and is featured on her debut album, Eye to the Telescope. It was released 29 August 2005 as the third single (second single in United States) from that album, charting at #12 in the UK Singles Chart (see 2005 in British music).
The song was Tunstall's highest charting in the UK, spending 26 weeks inside the Top 75 Singles. "Suddenly I See" won her an Ivor Novello Award in 2006 in the category of Best Song Musically and Lyrically. It is inspired by New York singer and poetess Patti Smith, whose album cover for Horses also inspired Tunstall's album cover for Eye To The Telescope.
In the summer of 2006, "Suddenly I See" became popular in the United States after being featured prominently at the beginning of the movie The Devil Wears Prada. It was also the farewell music for female contestants eliminated from the television show So You Think You Can Dance, featured on the season finale of the MTV show The Hills, and the series premiere of Ugly Betty. This song is also notable because it has three different music videos, an animated one, a circus version, and the original one.

[edit] Music Video
There are three music videos, one for the US market, one animated, and one for the UK.
The US Version features KT in different situations involving a circus in Romania. The video was filmed in Bucharest by the local production company, Domino Film - Catalin Neagu, the casting by Standard Casting - Sorin Tarau. It starts off with KT looking out a window in an old building. Right after this she throws a stuffed dog with a parchute attached to it out of the window. She then hurries out of the building and looks up and sees the stuffed dog floating down. You then see a real dog attached to a parachute being thrown off a ramp. After this she (KT) then sees somes sheets hanging on a wire and goes and starts playing in the sheets. The two women who were hanging the clothes look at each other and take the sheets away from her. The camera then cuts to a scene where lots of circus dancers are taking long white sheets away from her (KT) which reveals a white dress. Then she goes up on a platform and puts her hands in the air which prompts the circus dancers to start dancing around her. You can then see her walking across a field of grass and walking up a hill.Once up the hill she takes a bike that was sitting on the side of the road. She then rides the bike and the camera cuts to show a man chasing her (it was his bike). She rides for a bit longer and when she stops she sees a man with two dogs standing on their back legs. She looks around and sees a newspaper flying around in the air. It then shows KT with a black tutu, top hat, and moustache and is holding up a ring with paper in the middle. A dog riding a skate board then jumps through the paper and you can see some circus dancers in ripped dresses dancing beside KT. Then some dogs walking on their front legs circle past her and KT then stands by some dancers and they do some acrobatics. This scene then ends with a bear driving a red car. You then see KT walking past the same car in the street and she walks up to a bridge. She stands there looking out at a river for a second and then runs off to the street to get on a bus. She walks to the back of the bus and looks around and sees two boys walking on the sidewalk and a girl with a pony tail sitting in a seat in front of her. She looks back at the boys and sees them doing acrobatics and she looks back at the girl and sees her with a big feathery hat. The camera cuts back and forth between KT on the trapeze and KT hanging near upside down on the bus. KT then jumps off from the trapeze and lands on a trampoline. She then gets lift by two strong men and waves to the crowd and then we see KT looking out of the back of the bus.
The UK Version features KT singing with her group and looking at a clone of herself.
