Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens is a dark political satire starring John Cusack and Hilary Duff. Cusack wrote and will produce the film which is directed by Josh Seftel. It is also known as War Inc., the working title.
Cusack plays an assassin assigned to kill a Middle East oil minister (Ben Kingsley). His cover is that he's producing a large trade show that includes a wedding between a local pop star, played by Hilary Duff, and a politician, but complications ensue. The film is currently filming in Bulgaria and also stars Marisa Tomei, Cusacks sister Joan Cusack and Ben Kingsley. It is expected to release late 2007.
