[edit] GNR contributions

Hey I want to personally thank you for all the contributions you have made to several guns N Roses related articles. I dedicated a lot of time to upgrade the Guns N' Roses article. I added lots of pictures and completly re-wrote entire parts of the it. I have submited it for Featured Article status two times but it has been defeated on the grounds that it does not have a Neutral Point of view. If you are interested, contact me to see if we can work together to achieve the FA for Guns N' Roses. C ya! <<Coburn_Pharr>> 16:47, 27 August 2005 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the complements! I would be willing to help you on bringing Guns N' Roses to the FA. Snkcube 14:54, August 27, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Comments from other Users

Hi, I'm the creator of the Yuki Isoya page you recently made an edit to. It said you un-italicized the name YUKI in the second paragraph, however, I never had it italicized to begin with... and there are no edits to the artcile aside from mine and your's (the 69.etc IP is also myself, I forgot to log in) Just wanted to know if that's all your changed or if Wiki burped. hehe, thanks. Natsuki 22:34, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

Hey Natsuki! Yeah, that's all I changed. It's pretty strange... I guess Wiki messed it up just a tiny bit. =] ---Snkcube 15:40, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yuki Isoya Again

Hi, I was wondering why you excessively linked all the dates on Yuki Isoya. I don't see any valid purpose for it... -- NatsukiGirl\talk 02:20, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

Hey again! I actually didn't do the linking(s). Rich Farmbrough did and I just removed a lot of it. --Snkcube 03:09, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Team Fortress 2

Please stop reverting the document. Your wording makes less gramatical sense, and introduces inaccuracies. --Tom Edwards 07:13, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

If you read the first sentence, it just doesn't sound right at all. Plus, it's incorrect. --Snkcube 23:26, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
The style may well be down to personal prefence, I admit, but my reverts certainly aren't incorrect. I'm the one who trawled the code to find the information, after all. ;-) --Tom Edwards 08:13, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
Okay, I won't be doing edits to that part of the paragraph anymore. I'll do some other parts then. =) --Snkcube 03:42, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The good guys

You know, instead of just listing an article for cleanup, it's helpful to the creator of the page and to others to know what needs fixed. Next time, please leave some notes in the article's discussion page for reference. Coolgamer 15:46, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] DOA

Regarding you DOA character edits, and specifically the info boxes, the blood type should probaly remain linked to the Japan blood type theory of personality, as that is what it was obviously referenced to when it was put in the game. Since you made the edit I'm just letting you know in case you'd rather change it yourself.--Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 21:08, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

The only way I can link the blood type to that page is to modify the template itself. I might do that if you me want to. --Snkcube 22:00, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
It would make sense, as its the primary reasoning when a developer includes blood type in a videogame, much akin to how characters in media are often given zodiac signs and such to develop a personality base. --Oni Ookami AlfadorTalk|@ 03:28, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Naruto

Just wanted to point out that there's a discussion on Talk:Naruto (manga) about NarutoFan and (illegally) charging money for fansubs, and whether the link should be included. Were you aware of this when you re-added the site? --Pentasyllabic 07:29, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

I actually re-added the link before seeing the talk page. So I wasn't aware of it. Should I not add NarutoFan until the whole debate thing is over? --Snkcube 05:29, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Note to you

I am sorry, but you did not do your homework on the Sega Direct of Japan re-issue of refurbished units being resold. The link below is included to back this statement. The German information was wrong in stating that they were selling new console units, it was only a mistake translating the Japanese into German.

I realize you are doing what you think is correct and I respect this greatly, but I am a reseacher/engineer by profession in the audio/video industry - we have direct corporate association with companies like Sega.

Sorry for the mis-information you were given.

[edit] Thanks!

Thanks for your kind words! Nach0king 09:12, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

No problem, Nach0king. =) --Snkcube 04:55, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Christie

You do realize that inserting both "right" and "thumb" [1] on an image is redundant, correct...? :) -ZeroTalk 11:14, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Hmm, you do have a point. I was just trying to move the picture so the edit buttons won't get crammed into each other. --Snkcube 11:16, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Blue Hearts

Hi there! Just wondering, what excatly is it you have against the blue hearts? THanks! 203.112.2.212 13:21, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

I don't have anything against The Blue Hearts. Actaully, I mistakenly unlinked them in the Puffy AmiYumi article. I'll re-link them for you. Sorry if I confused you or anything. --Snkcube 02:09, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Maria Swan

You reverted my edits for Maria Swan and I changed them back. Playboy magazine is considered pornographic and they do not engage in sexual acts. It says on her page that she does erotic work and the websites I am directed to are porn sites. I really dont feel that we should blur the lines between super and fashion models between more erotic models for better categorization. I feel that this helps people find what they are looking for. It's up to you but I would prefer if you leave it the way it is.

Thanks,

Jerry Jones 19:50, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

It's no big deal. After thinking about it, I guess you're right about this. --Snkcube 07:32, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DOA U

Good job cleaning up the article!:P

>x<ino 15:38, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! It took a while to do so too. =D --Snkcube 01:05, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CS Map Articles

Hello, I just wanted to let you know (as someone who worked on them) that all of the Counter-Strike map articles are up for deletion. --Varco 17:20, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I've been reading about the article deletion. A merge to the Counter-Strike maps Wiki article is the best choice. --Snkcube 07:40, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Two image problems

One is the Puffy AmiYumi image you had posted on their article (or reposted, since it had been there before). Although a source is given, no proper copyright information was given for the image (just putting the proper copyright tag doesn't fully count.).

Also โ€” and this one could get you in more trouble โ€” that anime image has to be taken off of your user page, per WP:FUC #9, which prohibts images from being used anywhere other than on articles. --Cjmarsicano 14:05, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Ah, I see. I'll try to fix up the image. And I'm fine with the anime image off my user page. --Snkcube 19:02, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] DeJap - "pretty much dead"

Is there a reason the "pretty much dead" line has been removed from the DeJap Translations article? Any objections to my readding it? TerraFrost 05:16, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't really know why that line was removed. I mean, DeJap is basically dead from my point of view. You can re-add the line back if you want. --Snkcube 20:27, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Winamp

what is the reason of reverting my winamp external link add ?

There was already a link containing old versions of Winamp. --Snkcube 06:24, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Video game images: 250px vs. 256px

Hello, noticed you weren't too happy about my changing the images in some video game articles (i.e. Zelda II, Zelda:LttP) from 250px wide to 256px wide :) Let me explain โ€” on every computer I've tested this on, 256px widths provide an attractive, perfectly symmetrical whitespace border within infobox CVG. 250, unfortunately, creates a mismatched proportion between vertical whitespace and horizontal whitespace. It's rather subtle, but it's there, and it drives me crazy :) Please test this for yourself. I wouldn't think it'd look different on your system(s) than on mine. I've tested this in multiple browsers, too. In light of this, is there any good reason to force them to stay at 250? In the absence of any reply here I will eventually change them again. --Ecksemmess 13:39, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Ah, I'm sorry about doing those changes. I didn't realized my mistakes after editing the article. It's just that I'm used to seeing pictures that end with either a 5 or 0 on the last digit of the pixel count. Once again, I apologize about the edits I've done. --Snkcube 07:15, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
No worries :) I'll change them back to 256. --Ecksemmess 09:11, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] One of your pictures

There's a free image of Sakura Sena on Commons; however, it has the same name as the fair use one you uploaded. The commons one is here. Is it okay if I delete the fair use one, letting the commons one come through? --Golbez 05:27, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

You can delete the picture I uploaded. It's better to use the Commons' picture anyways. --Snkcube 06:00, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II

  • Your reversions of my wikilinking of the song titles is utterly retarded, but I don't feel like getting into an edit war over something so petty (but it seems you do), so fine... have it your way. Make users search through 5+ paragraphs of text so they can find the one song they're looking for. And your refusal to leave edit summaries for your reversions is amateurish and counter-productive. I explained my rationale for my edits... it seems you can't.--Hraefen Talk 15:06, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Articles with multiple links doesn't seem right. And what's wrong with reading through five+ paragraphs? It doesn't hurt at all. And about not leaving edit summaries, these type of edits occured so many times that I got tired of explaining it. Dig through the edit history if you want. And no, I don't want to argue about something so small. If you want to settle this problem, then tell me how you want to do it. --Snkcube 07:51, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello Snkcube.

You seem to have something against the track listing wikilinks right? That's around the 10th time you've reverted a wikilink! Only you too. Not arguing, only telling you that. Other songs have wikilink in the track listing. If one particular song doesn't need a link, than the link should be replaced in a similar matter to the previous songs. Josh215 22:37, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it's more like the songs are already linked in the article and it doesn't need to be linked twice. However, if an album article needs to have the track listing songs linked, then you can go right ahead and re-link them. --Snkcube 07:38, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] thanks

thanks for deleting my comments from the hddvd talk page. very nice of you. it's not like it was relevant or anything.

Your comment in the HD DVD talk page wasn't related to the article. And HD DVD didn't "win" at all. --Snkcube 22:11, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why are you removing reference links?

Why are you removing links in the reference sections from articles? (Sora Aoi for example.) These are not footnotes for a particular fact, which would justify use of the < ref > , but links to an external database containing facts used throughout the articles. Dekkappai 20:11, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Snkcube. I might have been a bit abrupt above. I've been trying to figure out which of us is right in this Reference section matter. Apparently there is more than one interpretation as to what a Reference section should be. To my way of thinking, it is not a section to link to notes within the text. That would be a Footnotes section. What I had in mind for the References is a collection of all the materials used in writing the article. This seems to be reflected here: [2]-- "Complete citations, also called "references", are collected at the end of the article under a ==References== heading. Under this heading, list the comprehensive reference information as a bulleted (*) list, one bullet per reference work." Anyway, my point is that the source should be cited as a source for facts presented throughout the entire article in this case, not footnoted to one particular fact.
No hard feelings, I hope. Dekkappai 21:58, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
The links you posted on those articles doesn't seem like they provide any information, except for their stats. If it's that important, then you can leave those links then. --Snkcube 17:56, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nintendo World

Thank you for cleaning up my edit. I was half asleep :D *ps. the wii will rule!* Cocopopz2005 13:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
