Sidsel Ben Semmane

Sidsel Ben Semmane won the February 11, 2006 Danish Melodi Grand Prix with the song Twist of Love written by Niels Drevsholt. At 17 years of age, she was the youngest participant in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix of 2006. She represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens on May 20, 2006 and finished 18th.
On May 29th, 2006, Sidsel released her first Solo album called "Where Are My Shoes?". She performs songs that were hits all over the world in the 50's and 60's including "Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance)", other songs, A medley with songs such as "Back In The U.S.S.R", "Locomotion", "Shout", as well as her popular 2006 Eurovision song "Twist Of Love".

- Sidsel's mother is half-Algerian making Sidsel a quarter Algerian.
- She was guaranteed a place in the finale because Denmark scored well in 2005 and was ninth to sing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.
